Canapa Paper Technologies is a paper-based coating technology company, combining nearly 50 years of experience in the paper industry with advanced R&D, industrial coating know-how and large-scale production capability.
Founded in 2005 in İstanbul, Türkiye, Canapa started its journey by producing high-performance sublimation transfer papers for the textile printing industry. Today, we have evolved into a Plastic-to-Paper Technology Platform, developing sustainable coating technologies that help replace plastic, PFAS and silicone-based functional layers with recyclable paper-based alternatives.
Our product and technology portfolio includes sublimation transfer papers, recyclable DTF transfer media, PFAS-free grease barrier coatings, mineral-based ceramic coatings and functional paper-based packaging solutions.
Through our brands and technologies such as Ventus® , DTPaper®, Bioma-ORX® and Ceralith®, we serve the textile printing, food packaging, paper converting and sustainable material transformation markets.
At our İstanbul facility, we operate wide-width industrial coating lines, in-house R&D laboratories, and pilot-scale testing capabilities. With an experienced technical team and an annual production capacity of approximately 100 million m², we develop, test and manufacture coated paper solutions for both domestic and international markets.
Our mission is to support global brands, converters and industrial partners in their transition from plastic-based materials to smarter, recyclable and paper-based solutions.
