With the widespread use of mixed synthetic fabrics, sublimation printing has become commonly used. Moreover, breakthroughs in press machines, ink and sublimation paper along with textile fabrics have strengthened the place of sublimation printing for sportswear. Offering the best print process for sportswear today, sublimation printing has emerged as the most ideal solution towards sportswear applications , allowing vibrant color output, super-sharp graphics and, more importantly, maximum opportunity for customization.

When considering sportswear, team jerseys come to mind first, but in fact, wide product-market scope is available: shorts, dancewear, gymnastic wear, swimwear, speed-skating apparels, skateboards and even accessories such as gloves, hats, etc. And the list goes on and on.

Infinite number of colors

Sublimation printing onto fabric allows you to bring your logos, visuals, designs and patterns to life however you like- be it vibrant colors, degrade colors or fluorescence colors. What’s more, no additional cost is required. The main working principle of the sublimation printing is based on transformation of solid ink particles directly into gaseous state. When the heat is removed, the sublimated ink turns back into a solid form leaving the ink embedded into the garment. Thus, it protects the print from discoloration. You can also use whichever color and pattern you prefer, and thereby create your customized sportswear. By means of sublimation printing, you can get vibrant colors and exceptional quality of detail as well.

The opportunity for personalized products

Thanks to the digital printing with the highest level of flexibility, you can personalize your products as much as you like and you can add value to your business. Unlike conventional printing methods, sublimation printing gives you whatever design, image and color you want. Your creativity is the only limit!

Printing onto paper for polyester based products such as sportswear

As you know, polyester fabric must be used for sublimation printing. As polyester is the most common fiber used in sportswear, it works well with sublimation printing. Since sublimation ink does not sit on top of the fabric and the ink is absorbed by fabric, no residual dye particles remain on it. It is thus possible to get more durable sportswear images.

No paper deformation in sublimation printing

Sportswear products will surely not stay clean and sterile for a long time! Still, they should be resistant to get dirty, scratching or fading. Sublimation printing provides high durability without deformation. The images on the fabric don’t fade, scratch, crack or peel – even after multiple washings and ironing. Logos or designs on the fabric can be used for years, with no damage at all. You can not only keep your customized designs for years, but also keep your garments looking as good as new.

Possibility to enrich the product with additional re-touches

After printing, you can make any addition or retouch. As the ink becomes a part of the material used and does not sit on the top of the surface, any additional procedure can be easily performed. You can also incorporate stone dressing, embroidery or foil effects into the final product, yielding higher profit and personalized outputs.

High speed production

In contrast to analogue printing methods, digital printing allows you to complete your printing process in a shorter time regardless of whether you work for large production runs or small customized productions. This will help you to efficiently meet high demands by shortening delivery time of customer orders. Plus, it delivers cost effective dye sublimation printing whilst maintaining higher productivity in comparison to conventional methods.
